Archos Tablet

Archos Tablet

The Archos 70IT/101IT tablets, with their open bootloader and Linux support, make a great platform for embedded and mobile development. They're based on the popular OMAP3 platform from Texas Instruments and offer built-in multi-touch screen and webcam. The Archos-OpenEmbedded project aims at providing a well-supported, well-maintained, and ready-to-use Qt SDK for the Archos tablets, including pre-built images for Qt4 and Qt5 development and their Linux SDK counterparts. The images support multi-touch input, OpenGL/ES2, QtQuick1 and QtQuick2, remote debugging, and much more. And it's all Open Source, hosted on Github.
This presentation will give a tour of the SDK features for Qt4 and Qt5, it will show how to get up and running for cross-development with Qt Creator on a plain Ubuntu in less than 10min, and it will demo how you can customize the standard images to run your own projects and apps on the tablet.
