Edward RosenBerg III is a composer/performer living in New York City. He attended the Eastman School of Music and received a BA in Saxophone/Jazz. He also attended Queens College and earned an MA in Music Composition.
Edward's musical experience is quite varied. He performs regularly with a variety of groups that range in style from Modern Classical to Jazz to Pop (and back). He is a founding member of the Prog-jazz outfit, Jerseyband, that toured Europe in 2010 and recently finished their 7th album. Edward has also composed for a variety of groups and individuals. His works have been performed by the Second Instrumental Unit, the Internation Contemporary Ensemble, the Cadillac Moon Ensemble, Anti-Social Music, and the Tokyo Brass Arts Orchestra, among others. In 2010, he was flown to Dublin, Ireland (by airplane) to compose and perform music for an evening length modern dance piece choreographed by Liz Roche. In 2009, Edward served as Musical Director and pianist for the new musical, Whatever Man. He is currently working on several large-scale projects including a new musical and an opera. Edward is the founder of SONGBABY, a company the creates homemade songs for the ones you love!
In 2006, Edward co-authored a practice/technique book with acclaimed saxophonist Walt Wesikopf entitled,Beyond The Horn. The book is currently available from Jamey Aebersold HERE
